A Dream Come True!

“Willowfield Lavender Farm was literally the vision I had for our wedding brought to life. It's one of the most gorgeous places in Indiana, and the O'Connors are some of the nicest people you'll ever meet. We planned our entire wedding in less than 5 weeks, and they were right there with us every step of the way. The bridal suite was fantastic, and they even helped coordinate separate getting-ready spaces. Despite a chilly 40-degree wedding day, our ceremony in the gazebo and reception between the lavender fields was perfect. Libbe cut fresh lavender from the fields as a keepsake, and the whole place smelled wonderful! Our guests continue to tell us what a unique and special wedding we had - Willowfield was the keystone to all of it.”

The very best part of our wedding was deciding to have it at Willowfield.

“We wanted a venue with natural beauty where we could celebrate without worrying about other events. Planning remotely from Seattle was challenging, but when we found Willowfield online and visited in December, Libbe and Kie's warmth helped us decide immediately - we didn't even visit other venues. Through the O'Connors' kindness and local connections, we secured an amazing caterer and everything fell into place. The days surrounding our wedding were full of love, generosity, and lavender - we made corsages and boutonnieres with fresh sprigs and gave away lavender shortbread as favors. Despite extremely hot weather, we set up lawn games between the lavender fields while guests sat, talked, and enjoyed a delicious apéro. Our guests, some initially apprehensive about the unconventional format, were effusive about how special the day was. We made an exceptional connection with the O'Connors - for us, it couldn't have been the same anywhere else.”

It was a most beautiful, personal and heartfelt wedding venue.

“Beginning with the first steps out of our car, we instantly knew this was the place our daughter would choose to be married. The beauty of this place stretches far beyond just the gazebo and lavender field. With the new addition of the Sanctuary of the property and the transformation of the wedding tree in the woods, it became a magical and stunning ceremony for everyone in attendance. Libbe and Kieran were so gracious, involved and such a pleasure to work along side in our wedding process with our daughter. Opening their lovely hand built home, the lavender shop for bouquet making and kitchen for food prep was an experience like no other. The gesture of opening your home and property like they did speaks more about the couple than any words I could express. It was a most beautiful, personal and heartfelt wedding venue and fit the style of both the bride and groom. It was a magical night everyone will remember. We consider ourselves both thankful and blessed to have had the pleasure of getting to know them personally and to have such natural beauty surround them as they said their vows! Well done. We will never forget you and the special place you hold in our hearts.”

It was a most beautiful, personal and heartfelt wedding venue.

“First, a disclaimer. I was not the bride. My best friend from elementary school was. I was the "undercover bridesmaid" which is what happens when a good part of the wedding party has already celebrated their 50th birthdays. (But very recently, though!) I was compelled to write a review of the Willowfield Lavender Farm as the place pretty much singlehandedly pulled my wonderful friend back from the brink of wedding insanity. We, together, visited many venues. The budget was not huge, and this knocked a lot of places out of the running before we got around to a second question. Frustration grew, as my friend has excellent taste and was not about to settle for anything mundane and without character. My time allotted for venue visits ran out, and she and hubby-to-be continued the search without me. My fingers were crossed that they could come up with a place that met very high expectations but also came in at a price that didn't make them double over with laughter. I wish I could say that I was more hopeful than I was. The next day Bride calls me. I see the caller ID and get my best consoling voice ready. Instead, I hear someone so happy and so looking forward again to her wedding day that I knew she had found the perfect place. And indeed she had. She had found the Willowfield Lavender Farm and it truly did turn out to be just perfect. She told me over the phone that day about how beautiful the property is, how charming the facilities are, and, above all, how absolutely wonderful the owners are and how well she got along with them. She had chosen her place and the search could stop. She visited a few more times before the wedding day, each time calling me and telling me how much more she loved the place and how perfect it was. She loved dealing with Kieran and Libby O'Connor, the owners, as they cared as much as she did that her wedding turn out just the way she wanted it. As most with creative minds and high standards, my friend would sometimes get ever so slightly stressed, and Libby and Kieran would bring her back down to earth with heartfelt assurances and a good dose of humor. Even before I met them, I knew my friend was in good hands and we could all relax. Her beautiful October wedding day dawned clear and blue and crisp and cool and just perfect. The lavender farm and facilities were just as beautiful as described if not more so. Bride and Hubby were married on the steps of the O'Connor's house as the rest of us gathered in the yard. There were about 50 people present, which can be an awkward size for some venues. This just felt right. The flowers were beautiful, the food fantastic, and the entire ambiance just what the bride had ordered. Beautiful and polished without taking the first step toward fussy. So, that is my "undercover bridesmaid" review. In a nutshell, I would say that this is a truly unique place with extremely helpful and friendly owners. The feedback from the guests confirmed this many times over. We heard many express surprise that such a beautiful area was hiding in Mooresville, Indiana and that they were planning a trip back with their families in the near future. It's been a week, my friend is still happily married, and a lot of the good karma started with the discovery of the Willowfield Lavender Farm!”
